Not so many years ago colour photographs were a luxury and monochrome was standard, my own wedding photographs were totally in black and white. Although today’s digital cameras are built to reproduce colour, most high -end designers and photographers would agree that a really good monochrome can have even more impact than a colour print.

Of course family history researchers who wish to publish their own family history book will only have monochrome or sepia photographs available. The H.P. Indigo process used at Purely Digital Ltd. has always been able to produce excellent black and white images and is one of the few presses able to manage true duotones. Even more so our Epson Stylus Pro 9900 with it’s UltraChrome HDR ink set produces beautiful posters.
